About Oakfield Commodities

Oakfield Commodities exists to build enduring value across global commodity markets — with integrity, purpose, and a long-term vision.

Our Story

Oakfield Commodities was founded on a simple conviction: that it is possible to build serious commercial wealth without compromising on ethics, community, or long-term thinking.

Our founder, Chananya Berman, born and raised in South Africa and now residing in Israel, brings experience across commodity deal structuring, trade finance, and cross-border transactions spanning Africa, the Gulf, Asia, and Europe.

Oakfield is built for the long cycle — understanding that markets rise and fall, that relationships outlast any single deal, and that the firms which endure are those built on substance, not shortcuts.

Through Goldstream and Petrostream, we connect producers, financiers, and end buyers across Africa, the Gulf, and Asia, structuring transactions that generate real wealth while leaving lasting positive impact on the communities that make them possible.

Our Mission

Oakfield Commodities exists to build enduring value across global commodity markets — with integrity, purpose, and a long-term vision. Through Goldstream and Petrostream, we connect producers, financiers, and end buyers across Africa, the Gulf, and Asia, structuring transactions that generate real wealth while leaving lasting positive impact on the communities that make them possible.

Our Vision

We are building a full-spectrum commodity enterprise — from intermediary deal structuring today, to proprietary trading and physical ownership of African mining and refinery assets tomorrow. Our vision is to own the supply chain: from extraction to refinery to end buyer, creating sustainable wealth across every step of the value chain.

Our Values

The principles that guide every decision and transaction at Oakfield Commodities.

Integrity

Every deal, every counterparty, every broker — treated with full transparency and honesty. Our reputation is our most valuable asset.

Social Responsibility

We do not extract wealth from communities — we share it. Fair wages, schools, hospitals, and housing are part of how we do business.

Opportunity Creation

We create jobs and empower local partners. Our growth must lift the people around us, not just our balance sheet.

Long-Term Vision

We build for decades, not quarters. Every deal today is a brick in the foundation of something far larger.

Social Responsibility

At Oakfield, social responsibility is not a footnote — it is built into the business model. When we source gold from African communities, those communities must share in the prosperity.

We are committed to investing in the infrastructure that dignifies the people who power our supply chain: schools, healthcare, housing, and clean utilities.

A minimum of 10% of profits is directed toward charitable and community causes across Africa and the countries we are active in. We believe that lasting commercial success and genuine social good are not in conflict — they are inseparable.

Africa Strategy

Africa is at the core of Oakfield's long-term commodity strategy. We begin as structured intermediaries — connecting verified producers with institutional buyers in Dubai, Hong Kong, and beyond.

As capital is deployed, we move toward direct investment in mining operations and refinery assets, always in partnership with local operators and in compliance with host country regulations.

Our model is patient, principled, and built on trust: with our partners, with the communities we operate in, and with the counterparties we transact with globally.
